About the Council
What is Kingston Council #275?
We are a council of the Knights of Columbus, the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization, chartered in Kingston on October 24, 1897.
The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 by a young parish priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, to protect Catholic families from the hardship and prejudice of his day. Fifteen years later, Dr. E. J. Gallagher and a group of Kingston Catholic men joined that mission and formed the 275th council of the Order. We have been at work here ever since.
Our four principles are Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
Who can join
All practical Catholic men at or over the age of 18 are welcome. Our members include men from all walks of life, bringing a vast array of talent and experience. Our activities are focused on promoting family, community, spiritual and council growth.
